Dermatology Nursing Research Fellow | Mahogany Dermatology
/WelcomeI am David Mendos Gauji, a Registered Nurse and 2026 Mahogany Dermatology Nursing Research Fellow. My professional journey is driven by a commitment to improving the quality of life through clinical excellence, research, and healthcare innovation. I believe healthcare extends beyond treating illness, it involves restoring confidence, strengthening systems, and building structures that create long term impact for individuals and communities. My passion for dermatology stems from understanding how deeply skin health influences both physical and emotional confidence and well being. Through my fellowship with Dr. Kimberly Madison, DNP, I am advancing my expertise in skin of color dermatology, research methodology, and healthcare entrepreneurship. My work focuses on addressing educational gaps in dermatology, advancing research on conditions affecting diverse populations, and integrating technology including artificial intelligence (AI) driven tools to enhance early detection, clinical decision making, and personalized care.Beyond clinical excellence and business insights, I am committed to leadership development, healthcare accessibility, and building sustainable health systems that merge innovation with compassion. I envision a future where nurses lead research and system redesign, where technology strengthens not replaces human care, and where mentorship empowers the next generation to transform healthcare locally and globally.
